Scope of the Journal

JoSSE publishes original research articles, literature reviews, and conceptual papers in the field of science education, including:

  • Integrated Science Education

  • Physics Education

  • Chemistry Education

  • Biology Education

  • Geography Education

  • Educational evaluation and assessment

  • Instructional media and learning innovation

Manuscript Preparation

a. General Format

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  1. Introduction (background, research gap, objectives)

  2. Method (research design, participants, instruments, data analysis)

  3. Results

  4. Discussion

  5. Conclusion

  6. Acknowledgment (optional)

  7. References

References

  • Use APA Style (latest edition).

  • At least 80% of references should be from peer-reviewed journals.

  • Preferably published within the last 10 years.

  • All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

Submission Policy

  • Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration by other journals.

  • Authors must ensure the manuscript is free from plagiarism.

  • Similarity check will be conducted before review.

  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.

Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must disclose conflicts of interest.

  • Research involving human participants must comply with ethical standards.

  • Data fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism are strictly prohibited.

Publication Frequency

JoSSE is published twice a year, in February and July.
